Nomad hotel bar, New York

The Nomad bar sits around the corner from the NoMad Hotel operation, on Broadway and 28th Street. The hotel bar so popular it outgrew its hotel. The bar now boasts an extensive list of original cocktails, which makes it a must-stop for global cocktail pilgrims. Drinks are a mix of classics and originals created by Mr Leo Robitschek.

The bar entrance is subtle and easy to miss, with a small sign on 28th Street. There is also somewhat hidden speakeasy entrance from the hotel lobby, via the Elephant bar.

The Jitney is recommended, but not to be taken lightly. With mezcal, campari, chambéry blanc vermouth, coffee-infused marseilles dry vermouth and absinthe.
