One of London’s best kept secret bars is starting to get known. Cahoots is a cocktail bar inside the disused Kingly Court subway station. It has a 1940s theme and harks back to a wartime drinking den/air raid shelter. The bar staff are all in character with nicknames and backstories.
The cocktail menu is highly elaborate and drinks are often served in Thermos flasks and milk bottles. On the back of each menu, you’ll find an envelope labelled ‘Do Not Open.’ Inside you’ll find ‘black market specials’ (not available on 40s rationing) which are sneaked to your table on a disguised trolley.
